Nathans Blog: Christmas......it was a blur!?!

Our little man celebrated his first Christmas in Kelowna. It was a hectic trip, but we enjoyed our visit with everyone.

In addition, Zephyr cut his two front teeth (top) and finally learned to crawl! Now mommy has a little shadow everywhere she goes.

Our adventure began in Ladner where we spent a couple days visiting with Auntie Elly, Uncle Jed and cousin James. Zephyr and James were quite cute playing together. James happily shared his toys with Z and showed him how to build towers. Before we left, the Schoepp's treated us to our first (of many) Christmas dinners........it was delicious. (Thanks again Elly!!) Then our adventure really got exciting as the next morning we left for Kelowna. Nanny Linda and Papa Dave arrived with Great Grandma Rita to pick us up. We all piled into the van for the longest car ride of our lives! Unfortunately, it had snowed all night and traffic was pretty slow going. It took us 8 and 1/2 hours to drive from Ladner to Winfield........we were all glad to finally get out of that van! (Thanks again to Wendy and Don for the use of the van!)

On Christmas Eve we went to church and then to Auntie Mel and Uncle Kevin's for dinner. It was an awesome meal (Thanks Mel!) and then we had some time talk about their upcoming trip to the Yukon this summer. We can't wait! Before we left, Zephyr decided to have a bath with cousin Sibby and Kian....too cute!

We spent Christmas morning with Great Grandma Rita, Papa, Nanny, Uncle Carey, Auntie Nicoline, and cousin Isaac. After opening our gifts, we took a few pics to remember the good times.

The rest of Christmas day was spent with Grandma and Grampa Husch, Uncle Dean, Auntie Nikki, Uncle Jay and cousin Hannah and Evan. There were only three kids, but it was very chaotic! We later enjoyed a fine dinner at Baba's house (great grandma and grandpa's)!
